why can't it still be 2005 and i can buy a bunch of printed cd-rs for $15? why have cds fallen out of style! make them cheap again please i'm trying to make magic mirrors at least LOOK professional but i am broke (sorry brusters, i don't get paid anything). i have a long wishlist of stuff i need (and definitely do not need) for magic mirrors, including but not limited to: printed cd-rs, REal jewel cases, posca paint markers, a bunch of shirts, to turn my brother's bathroom into a darkroom, c-41 process chemicals, expired agfa vista film, a half-frame slr camera, a casio mt-701, at-home screenprinting setup, etc etc etc. i run half of magic mirrors out of my high school, if i'm being honest. that's where the shirts get made, photos get developed, and i work on my zine when i should probably be doing other stuff. like school stuff or something idk. i also print my cd covers at the library. because, as the title of this post has so clearly indicated, Everything Is So Expensive. thank god for public libraries. speaking of places outside of my home that are vital to magic mirrors' ever-expanding universe, joann's craft store is closing and i am so sad. now i have to go to hobby lobby and i do not like it there. Thanks for listening to my complaints.
in other news, i am already starting to work on magic mirrors 6. last time, i took forever to get started and everything was kind of a mess. i think it will still be kind of a mess, but at least i can live with the satisfaction that i started it earlier. interviewing some cool people for this issue*
*one person confirmed so far. i have no idea who else to interview. i am lying for the fun of it.
